But spending more does not automatically create a better experience.

A handwritten note waiting in a guest's hotel room may mean more than an elaborate welcome gift. Thoughtfully seating an elderly family member where they can comfortably hear and see the evening may matter more than another décor element. Serving a late-night snack connected to your first date may create more conversation than something chosen simply because it is trendy.

We certainly believe in creating extraordinary environments. But beautiful design is most powerful when it has purpose.

5. Presence Always Outshines Noise

More is not always more.

Listening to your father's speech instead of worrying about whether you're ten minutes behind schedule.

Those moments cannot be recreated.
